I included this first piece because folks who don't paint, rarely get to see the beginning of a painting. That's where the painting tries to tell the artist where it wants to go, followed by many serious discussions, one with the other. A fascinating stage of creativity.

 

The wonderful part of our trips to the islands of Hawaii is that after getting home I'm aware that they're still out there, unchanged, waiting for me. 

As I age and age and age, I'm enjoying creating more small figure paintings. They're refreshing after years of landscapes. If you like them let me know, it's nice to know that someone out there is watching.
